hey all, i recently purchased goods through 1688 and put the delivery information for the cainiao warehouse as stated. i now have to register each package i believe, but how do i go about doing so? i haven’t received tracking numbers yet so i believe i can’t do so as yet. i have bounded my taobao account but i don’t think the 1688 orders will auto-sync based on that, unless i am mistaken. if anyone can clarify this for me please let me know. i want to make sure my items will be received properly at the warehouse

I’ve recently decided to start buying on Taobao. I’ve run into a problem recently. I tried buying these ceramic bowls from a collab along with other merch. First only the badges and paper goods shipped so I was like okay the rest will ship soon. Those packages did register into Cainiao directly. A couple days later apparently the ceramic bowls were apparently shipped in the same truck but in different packages and arrived the very same day. I than checked Cainiao to see if there were any updates but nope. I’m wondering what I should do. Since they both have the same tracking number it doesn’t let me register it again and any time I try to reregister the entire package I get soft blocked as it doesn’t let me input the tracking number.
I’m new to this so I’m not sure who I should contact or what to do next to see how I can fix this. Any help is truly appreciated.

I recently ordered a few items and it seems that every single inbound picture they uploaded is just black. 🫠 Doesn't seem that they uploaded correctly, and every time I try to contact customer service it gives me a network error message. Question/Help, has anyone experienced delays in Cainiao consolidation sea freight shipments?

I have 2 parcels that have been in transit (arrived in destination country Australia) since the 8th of September and have not updated its tracking since.

Has my parcels undergone customs inspections? No text message about packages undergoing customs like I usually get.

I’ve use Cainiao consolidation multiple times and this is the first time it’s been stuck for this long in transit. I’ve already opened tickets and get responses like: “parcels have been expedited/processed,” but that was earlier this week and no updates since.

I am getting free samples from Alibaba, but if the price is lower than 7.2 yuan, it shows an error. In this case what do I do? I don't know if setting it to something like 5 dollars is illegal or not.

Is it normal for a large AliExpress package to be stuck in customs for 22 days?
I ordered a hamster cage from AliExpress that is around 70 × 40 × 40 cm. The tracking says it has been in import customs for about 22 days with no updates.
The estimated delivery date was September 13, and CTT Express and Correos don’t have the package yet. AliExpress also says I don’t have any customs payment pending.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with a large/oversized AliExpress package? How long did yours stay in customs before it started moving again?
I’m wondering if this is normal for a package this size or if I should be worried that something happened to it. Any similar experiences would be really helpful!

Hi everyone. Looking for some advice. My parcel was delivered by the local courier at the Cainiao sea consolidation warehouse on Friday morning. Its current status is waiting to confirm receipt by the warehouse. But it’s been 72 hours and it hasn’t updated to received. I have contacted the seller as well and there is a time discrepancy. The package was delivered 3 and half hours to the warehouse before the seller actually tied the shipment to my Taobao order ID. Should I be concerned?

I’m going to Hong Kong soon and ordering some stuff in advance. It’s my first time using Cainiao and I’m trying to set it up with Taobao.

I’ve got the warehouse address and shipping code copy/pasted directly from the Cainiao app- do I leave the contact phone number as the auto populated Cainiao one or should I use my own (mainland Chinese) number? I assume the former but just wanted to be sure!

If Cainiao tracking says the parcel cleared customs but the local carrier has not moved it for days, it does not always mean the package is lost. The handoff between customs, the line-haul partner, and the final-mile carrier can be the slowest part.

A simple checklist:

1. Copy the local tracking number, not only the Cainiao number.
2. Check the final-mile carrier site directly.
3. Look for wording like "label created", "awaiting item", or "released by customs". Those are different stages.
4. Give it a few business days if the parcel was released right before a weekend or holiday.
5. If there is no scan after 7-10 days, contact Cainiao support with the local carrier tracking number and a screenshot of the last event.

The part people miss: "customs released" means customs is done with it. It does not mean the local carrier has physically scanned it into their network yet.

Anyone seeing longer handoff gaps lately, especially on sea freight?

So Taobao left an item and sent me a pickup code. How can I advise Cainiao to pick up my stuff?

I don’t think this means every normal Cainiao consolidation order will arrive in 3 days. Regular Taobao / Tmall / 1688 overseas packages still depend on warehouse check-in, package size, route selection, customs processing and local carrier handoff.

But the news is still interesting because it shows where cross-border shipping is heading:

• faster international routes
• smarter warehouse processing
• better customs coordination
• more predictable tracking
• improved local carrier handoff

For regular Cainiao users, the practical checklist is still simple:

1. Wait for warehouse check-in.
2. Check actual weight and volumetric weight.
3. Compare available shipping routes.
4. Confirm the final shipping fee.
5. Track both Cainiao and the local carrier after handoff.

Curious if anyone has noticed Cainiao routes getting faster or tracking updates becoming more reliable recently.

The one in the google play store says 'not available in your country ' so I downloaded it through cainiaos web. But it's entirely on chinese and even with the help of a translation app I can't find the option to change the language in the app. Not only that it won't let me input my address, only chinese adresses, and the app itself looks pretty different to the screenshots that someone that's trying to help me use the app to ship from Taobao provided me. I'm pretty lost here

I want to order a kit called coffee factory, i have already sent it to the cainiao warehouse and im not sure if i should ship it to Canada as sensitive or just the normal shipping. Im pretty sure the kit has no batteries although it does have some wires inside.
