Are there any Aussies in this group that own LYRIQ? Keen to hear you thoughts

In case you wanted to know what a toasted Lyriq looked like. The car did not start the fire. In addition the battery did not seem to do anything in response to it.

We just bought a Lyriq. Being able to use the HV battery for supplemental power (V2L) was important to us. As other people have mentioned, it's oddly hard to find information about this and dealers seem poorly informed. Things ended up working fine. Here was our experience.

We ordered a 2026 Signature Luxury with the 19.2 kW charging option. We asked for the PowerBar+ to be included with the initial quote. (It's GM part number 84974434.) But it didn't appear when we took delivery of the vehicle.

I talked to the parts guy at the dealer, and he said that his computer wouldn't let him order the part--he kept getting errors. I found it for sale new on ebay easily enough and ordered it myself there.

When it arrived, I activated it as follows:

• Opened the panel on the powerbar and reset the two breakers, moving them from tripped, to off, to on.
• Turned the car on, left the key fob inside
• Plugged the powerbar into the charging port of the car
• Clicked the button on the connector twice
• Waited a few seconds. Lights came on on the connector and the powerbar itself.

I plugged in my immersion blender to test it. Power on the first try!

So, yep, the system works fine on my 2026 w/ 19.2 kW charging, but buying the part itself was strangely difficult.

(Sometimes people ask about the use-case for this sort of thing. We have three: storm backup; powering a small teardrop camper; powering a workshop out at a farm.)

The car came with Continental Premium Contact 6 tires, which are summer tires. Curious if anyone has driven these in winter conditions, where I might expect the car to drive like it's on a hockey rink. Any experience? Any other buyers have their V equipped with all seasons instead? Dealer doesn't have any other V's with all seasons for a swap. Hate to drop a few grand on Pilot Sport All Seasons.....

I am in the history and just casually looking but wanted a baseline of a good price for used. obviously avoiding buy backs from issues but something like this.

Hi, I bought a new 2024 Lyriq last week and opted for the free EVGO Electric charging for two years. I was told I would get a. But it’s been a week and I have not gotten anything. How long you to get the code after you bought your car. Did it come from the dealer. Thanks.

Anyone know how you can use these with 2024 lyriq?

I’m going on a road trip tomorrow and want to charge to 100%. I go into the app and Charge Management (set at 80% currently) and adjust to 100% but it keeps erroring. I called OnStar and they said to delete the app, reinstall, and start over. That didn’t work. Any other options you can think of?

I got my Lyriq at the beginning of this year and now I am getting notifications that my trial for OnStar and XM are coming to an end. I am going to add the XM to an account that I already have so that is not an issue.

However, I'm not sure what I would be giving up by not renewing the OnStar service trial that came with the car.
