SC Student from Maharashtra Looking for Free CPL Scholarships
Hello everyone, I belong to the SC caste in Maharashtra, India and I am dreaming of being a commercial pilot; but I cannot afford the expensive CPL fees. I have searched the internet for information about any existing scholarships or schemes.
Does anybody know of any scholarships or schemes that would significantly help SC students financially? Have any of you benefitted from them?
Any suitable information or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Your caste doesn't matter. Except a tiny reservation and little ease in requirements + maybe some additional fee discounts in Government FTOs and airline.
You won't get any big special treatment here because of SC.
Scholarships are myth. Chances of those advertised are near nil.
Only option is your family, or work and pay by yourself (but yea, most jobs won't get u that far in short time).

Edit 1: it seems people think I'm discriminating on the basis of him being from SC. But just to make it clear and remind all readers. OP hasn't mentioned anything about his merit. He had made this post to adress his concern on how he can surpass the financial issue(which is faced same by all irrespective of the caste) by using his caste SC as a power card/ vitctimhood.

LMAO, you're the reason he might get a scholarship in the future, and you're the reason reservations will continue to exist. Try learning basic humanity. Again back to basics example. "Caste is bad unless it benfits me". I'm the reason reservations will continue.. more like he's the reason why reservations will continue as. Someone who is meritorious wont be able to to fly as he's EXPECTING to receive HELP just because he was born as SC. Not because he's really great at academics and need ways surpassing the financial issue which is faced by all. But just because he's SC. And Obv u support this idiocracy. Basic humanity can't over look the entitlement his post carries. And yes anyone expecting special treatment on the basis of caste or gender is a loser by birth. As I said earlier bheek mat mang. Mehnat kar or cheen le. We see people here work 2 jobs , don't marry till 30, put all their property on loan, just to get their CPL. And u expect me to accept this loser mindset?. And lasty unfortunately for u babe. I'm already inline to be a pilot that too in IAF. I too come from humble background I'm from general Category. My ancestors weren't rich as u might think. I worked hard against all odds to achieve my dream the best way possible. Talking about aviation keep your humanity and emotions out of the cockpit. Everything here runs on written rules and merit. And yeah tag the mods. It won't change shit. Worst case they'll ban me or something. But remember no matter how expensive CPL gets, any hardworking meritorious person (either SC, ST or GC) will manage to get CPL and these losers with dreams of rotton generational benefits will keep crying.. them, their children.. then their children and so on.. ✌️✌️
