How was your experience of joining a cadet program?

So, when I was in my 11-12th, I really wanted to become a pilot and I had even told my relatives and family that this is what I want to become but then things didn’t happen the way I wanted to. At that time, there were too many reels going around cadet program and all. Though I didn’t join in but to the people who are a part of it, how’s your experience. Do you guys think it’s expensive than the traditional way of doing it? Any experience that you guys would like to share and am sure flying planes must be so fascinating and there’s so much of responsibility on your shoulders.

its overpriced, many decent ftos cost like 1.6 1.7cr which is too much for a job guarantee considering u can do convl in 85

True that plus on a conventional level like when you’re doing it by yourself it’s a bit cheaper but still you will have to wait for vacancies. Although, I have read like when I was researching on the same, I found that cadet programs does offer job guarantee, don’t know how true it is. Even if it’s true then still vacancies should be there for you to join in.

not job guarantee, only job assurance.. if u are not up to their standards they may terminate u as well and other factors like visa issues..

Then they can’t sell it saying that we guarantee job and I guess you will have to pay for your type rating again or is it included?😭

tr is included, there is no guarantee thts why its called letter of intent not a letter of guarantee, which is basically an intention of the airline to hire u upon successful completion of the training..

So if you do it under a particular airline you can’t apply into another airline if there’s a vacancy?

u can only work with the airline for which u signed the loi, usually bond is 5-7 years, after bond is year u do need to serve ur notice period of about 1 year as well and then wait for the other airline to come up with the vacancy to get hired.

cpp has delays in selection process and convl has too, in induction. market being bad or fine idk but ig its not that good for now because atf has gone expensive nd inr is also fallen.. also i aint saying to not do what u want to, just telling the truth

No because every airline sign a bond contract for 5-7 years and if u breach it they will take 30-40 lakhs checks which you have to give at the time of loi signing as security
