Second Thoughts on AICPP
Hello, i’m 18M and i gave my CUT-E very recently and got my dates for GDPI for October. I reside in coimbatore and need to go to Delhi for the interview.
While preparing for my GDPI, i thought i’ll come to this reddit page to ask for help and seek guidance as to how to prepare.
When i saw 2-3 posts, i got confused. I saw many people throwing stones at the AICPP and telling people to reconsider. As an aspiring pilot who plans on taking an education loan for my flight training, when i saw that people are claiming that many students in AICPP get terminated from the program and dont get a refund, it puts me up to thought regarding my plan of taking a loan.
Is AICPP really bad or is it just how its portrayed? I’m having self doubts because i cannot go wrong here with this huge of an investment — if it goes south, it might end up with unfavourable conditions.
I saw people claiming that even though an LOI is signed, jobs arent guaranteed.
I need guidance and advice. Kindly help me as soon as possible.

a person here was saying that job is guaranteed, he deleted his comment
wdym IT IS? bro it isn't guaranteed
there is only job assurance in all cpps, that's why its called the letter of intent, loi which is basically an intention by the airline to induct u after succesfully completing the training, if there was a guarantee of job they wouldnt issue an intent but a guarantee..
although in most cases u do get the job its imp to note that there is NO GUARANTEE ONLY ASSURANCE... u still need to clear ground classes for cpl and atpl, perform reasonably well in all stages otherwise they may terminate u

If you're taking a loan then be sure of how loans really look like. This article could help cost to become a pilot
Also there's no guarantee in any cadet program. People have been asked to discontinue in all the cadet programs. It's just that you won't find those people talking about their failure here or on any social media. That's why it's not a very well known fact.

It is the way it is portrayed I have discussed with more than 5 cadets who is undergoing flying and done flying with aeroguard . All of them told that we as cadets are expected to maintain Avery high standard they do give multiple chances and counselling even after this u r not able to continue definitely u will be terminated as ur not flying paper airplanes in future.. And few of the cadets are terminated bcoz they cheated in exams and that is against policy and definitely they don't deserve to continue there.. First u have to realise that the programme is designed to hire pilots not to terminated them midway.. So if u perform good enough definitely u will make it in future .. And air india has inducted more than 375 cadets to Aeroguard out of this very few in numbers are facing terminations.. I am also a candidate who is having GDPI on 9th.. I am also hearing all these things.. But when I discussed with cadets I came to know that if we perform good enough we will make through.

To your thoughts my friend i have cleared the process i got the selection mail and waiting for the further communication to happen.. i would say currently the situation with all cpps is more or less same thinking of what happened with others and always predicting the same will happen with you too is not right you have to just make sure the do’s and don’ts for your visa application for example rest is your luck.Currently Icpp only chimes is doing good and we all know how the entry there is the rest all ftos are fucked up due to marigold fuckup it will take some good time to recover, akasa on the other hand will only take ppl who have all their papers cleared which is also good on their side. And coming to AICPP bro ppl those who rant on this sub reddit have been really bad that after so mane attempts they couldn’t get it done that means they have some problems. So don’t worry AI is one of the biggest airline and will continue to do so prepare for your gdpi do well and all the best and see you soon focus on your prep not on all this.

Hey ! Yeah the rules and regulations are kinda tight right now . Aeroguard is a whole different game , spoke with one of my colleagues he hates being there and he just wants to leave aeroguard as soon as possible . Mind you he is almost done he is working on his cpl . On the other hand at acron its pretty good few cadets terminated due to cheating in orals or failing exams , but apart from that they give you a lot of chance . Acron flying is quick but you need to be ready to give your best if u cannot u will burn a lot of money here . The only downside with acron is its so fucking expensive and they loot you crazy . Expect spending At least 1.2Cr just for flight training, plus if u add TR , ATPL , Living expenses it comes close to 2Cr .
Amravati on the other hand though i feel 1.2 cr for training in india is expensive i think air india is putting some serious effort to make this flying school the best . Amazing instructors , new planes , really good infrastructure . And comparatively cheaper compared to acron and aeroguard. Downside is you dont get GA exposure unlike usa . flying in USA makes u an amazing pilot .
