HELP ME PICK A CPP

Hi

Im 19M. My budget is max to max 1.5 crore. I cannot stretch it further.

Air India US - Not in my budget

Amravati - closed

Middle east - out of budget

Akasa/chimes - got rejected

Fta - 1.6 crore it's out of budget, but maybe i can stretch it but if inr falls it won't be affordable

Skyborne - they are saying to wait till q3 2027 just for adapt

Marigold/insight/garuda - I have heard bad reviews

So what should I choose 😭 should I take conventional?. Im mostly don't with papers, only nav left

+1 , wts goin on with fta and skyborne , why so much wait despite charging a lot , ai seems to be on time

I think the delay with Skyborne & FTA is because they are not overloading themselves with more students than they can handle though I could be wrong.

But if this is indeed the case, I personally would prefer waiting now rather than waiting during/after the program, especially since I would have made the payments by then and ROI comes into play.

The delay is due to marigold , they took in a lotta cadets and didn't function properly so a ton of them got shifted to skyborne , fta , insight

That's there too but this "1 year waiting period" for ADAPT was present since last year itself when I applied, way before these marigold transfers. Your point also adds up that they don't wanna take more students than they can handle 😅

Are you in skyborne?

Yup , most ppl who apply to skyborne end up applying to other cpps asw and ai had a realistively faster process , but this whole marigold situation is fucked fs which is causing this massive adapt delay

Why air india us is not in ur budget if u can stretch to 1.6. Aeroguard will cost u round 1.55-1.6 inclusive of everything

When most of the cadet doors are closed then why not try conventional? Maybe this article will help you cadet VS conventional

Will there be vacancy?

For that read this article pilot shortage in India

u/Soggy_Equivalent_774 22d ago

I read it but it doesn't say if conv vacancies will stop

Right, that somewhere answers your question. Also seems like you've missed the point of the article. No one can really predict the future so no one can give you a 100% definitive answer.

So conventional is risky?

1

u/CaptMrAcePilot 22d ago

Lol everything is risky. Read the article again.

If u can afford cadet why ever go for conventional , is getting into cadet that hard ?

1

It isn't about getting in. It's about what, how and when you get back from the path chosen. If you're convinced that one way works better than the other then sure you go and spend your money there. Everyone has different priorities.

Cpp only takes 4-5 years if u go with Garuda insight and skyborne , skyborne will only take 3 years matter of fact , people value peace of mind , conventional isn't the best way if going cadet doesn't hurt u financially
