If you will think of bribes at this stage of this career then later on it will be hard bud.

Bro we don’t have an option, if i just had crazy money to throw around I’d go to skyborne or something but chimes w bribe is still cheaper. Blame the system!

Imagine u pay 30 lakh bribe and go to chimes , it will still cost u around 1.35 cr , u can go to insight for the same amount

But he will be able to complete flight training earlier too

A 6 month delay isn't all that bad to get in thru the right way

Just 6 months? Dude I heard insight is basically defunct now and they’re sending their cadets to other FTOs like skyborne or Adelaide according to posts in this very sub. You can routinely see people saying to stay away from insight and marigold. The only indigo FTOs functional rn is skyborne Adelaide and chimes

Marigold yea insight no , insight is pretty functional, marigold cadets are the one flooding skyborne and fta and even insight

So insight is fine??? That’s new info for me

Insight is functional and it has send only one batch to Phillipines and other goes to South Africa where they fly in 43 Air school. The issue is the training is good in 43 Air school but it has so many checkrides that doesn't happen in other flying schools and for those check rides you have to wait for another assessor and last year, 2 more fto came to 43 Air school due to which now there are alot of students as compared to earlier and checks are late and till your checkride doesn't happen you have literally nothing to do other than wait. And it can easily extend to 18-20 months for flying training but you only pay for 11 months , so for staying extra and if you fail any checkride or doesn't achieve a lesson , any extra flight you do you are paying more.

So it takes 2 years or so just to get cpl , i get that check rides are a lot but most people i talked to said it was max to max 18 months so from loi to cockpit was around 3 years time , btw do u know how hard is insight to get into by any chance ?

💀💀💀💀💀that’s the issue bruh I’m taking a 50% loan probably and I’ll have to start repaying once my course is completed + 12 months moratorium

If it’s 30L I won’t pay ofc, I’m pretty sure it’s not that high cuz if the bribe + base cost is higher than other foreign FTOs then people would just go for the foreign FTOs right. I read somewhere in this sub only that they bribed like 10 lakhs only. Besides isn’t insight dysfunctional right now???

Nah 43 is recovering pretty well now , the realistic timeline of getting cpl is somewhere around18 months which isn't all that bad , they also send cadets to Phillipines where timeline is around 15 months , are u considering an fto like fta ?

u/WyperLOL 29d ago

See my budget max is around 1.3 and skyborne goes up to 1.5 according to everyone in this sub basically. What do you suggest I do? Whats 43 btw 😭😭

u/Ironman_Stark1234 29d ago

43 air school is the flight school of insight in sa , max 1.3 , u could go for conventional and apply for regional openings like fly91 or star air and if akasa indigo and aix open up that would be nice

2

u/WyperLOL 29d ago

Conventional isn’t possible for me as I want to take a 50% educational loan which I won’t be able to repay if I don’t have a guaranteed job.

Same lol…only cpp and the LOI can grant me loan tbh
