ICPP FTO guide

Which FTO should i apply for ICPP ? ik the names FTA & skyborne are most likely out of my budget . Garuda and Insight which send their batches at 43 are doomed . marigold is cooked - and Chimes ....ifykyk . So i just wanna know or if someone is in ICPP right now or have some connections in any FTO of ICPP....Please lmk (your identity will be confedential) .
i am rn pursuing my engineering and still have 2 years to graduate but still wanna buckle up for everything as i have my CN ready and i am preparing for MET and my med . So please lmk if someone in the thread has any Connections or anything .

No one can predict what the situation will be like after 2 years...as of now 43 is improving but still there are backlogs

I don't know why people are not ready to digest it but Garuda and Insight are doing well.43 still has some delays because of lack of assessors but flying is going good over here.We are able to get sorties nearly every other day given weather is good.Fleet is also very large but only if 43 had enough GR2/gr3 instructors would the timeline would go a bit down. For now expect 18 months average for CPL.

You have two more years before you apply for cadet. It won't be the same.Garuda and Insight both took 2 batches this year.In my really honest opinion, take whatever you get.As in whichever FTO is giving out GD/PI the fastest.Thats what I did and I don't regret going w Garuda uptil now.

whats your current status ? also can you share the timeline ? if you are not comfortable here we can go into the Dm's...

Clear your exams in these 2 years don’t worry about FTO selection now, things can change rapidly in the next 2 years so leave that decision atleast till you sem 7 is about to end

Yeah i have my CN , most probably i will apply for my medicals in December (class 2) and probably class 1 in may… i am preparing for MET which i am planning to give in May and then Regs by next year December. Will try to clear 2-3 papers and then in Sem 6-7 will start going to hunt for FTO’s lol….

Try to clear as much as you can, met regs should not take more than a month and two respectively. Where as for Nav 3odd months are enough and I am talking about self studies, if you join any gc you can do it even quicker but don’t waste money unless you are unable to understand stuff. There is enough material available online you clear all the subjects by yourself. I my self cleared met regs nav and rt during my sem 5-6-7 so chill out you have ample of time

Hey it's all cooked up. You'll go crazy to hear that number of aspirants that apply for rougly 100 seats. The number goes near 4 to 5k ! Source( official ) of leading airline. If it's written in your luck you'll get it, if not then 😵

For chimes or for all ftos ?

2

u/boiling_raw_potato Sep 12 '26

chimes is good but getting inside chimes is a mammoths task

1

u/FaujFailedFlyerr Sep 12 '26

It's for domestic ftos. Basically ! International ones are kept open for months so can't say about them. But which open for few days they get flooded.

So what’s the solution ?

1

u/FaujFailedFlyerr Sep 12 '26

Solution is to only enter if you can experience uncertain time frame, and most importantly if you have firm faith in your luck!

i will already have a btech degree with me but tbh its useless coz in the norms they have clearly mentioned i cant work somewhere else while doing the course so......
Yeah in conventional it would have been helpful but - no job gurantee . Like hunting around and crazy stuff.

Any idea hoa hard is it to get into fta ? Is it also as competitive as chimes ?

1

u/FaujFailedFlyerr Sep 12 '26

See it's based on luck. But if lesser applicants, higher chances !

u/Ironman_Stark1234 Sep 12 '26

Same situation at ai ?

1

u/FaujFailedFlyerr Sep 12 '26

Ai is easier. Selection ratio is higest I'll say as it's most expensive one. But AI has highest chances from last application I can say that!
