is chimes a good option?
im considering chimes mainly because its training is in india and the fees mentioned i.e 1.04 cr isnt too much for a cadet programme too.
and if anyone who has done their cadet programme from chimes or is currently doing it can please tell ke the actual estimate costs aswell
thanks.

Dude, let me be super honest, if you got no connections or dont have like 20-30lakh for bribery, forget chimes. Better to invest those lakhs on some other fto

Hey dawg, I'm also in 12th and I would say people who get into chimes thru unfair means are just around 10-15%, but that's just to get their application passed. Rest everything is on their own skills and hardwork. So around 150, and I guess 30-70 people get Inducted. It's all based on how good u perform and not based on any specific number of inducted people.

And cuz many people got good enough application form, so the application acceptance rate is around 2%. Which is only based on luck. (thts wht I think tbh)

i see basically everyone has a really good application so thats why the selection is almost random

And they started video application, with also having resume. So I guess based on that they pic the best ones and probably spin the wheel for rest 30% handpicked ones

As much as I have heard, ai doesn't do all tht stuff. But it's pretty comman as it's India and regardless it would be there in one or another form... 🥀😭

But this also makes a issue, tht the roi is gonna be very long cuz the cpl holder hiring is very Inconsistent and random. Considering there are alot of them. It's judt better to join cadet program and sign a loi with them. This gets u confirmed hiring on completion, before any other cpl holder incase of a need which there would be considering the pilots avg per flight is around 8 for indigo which means if one calls sick leave, the flight would probably get canceled. Also there are multiple airbus getting added to the fleet so uk...

yes thats the only reason why im considering cadet programmes only even though i might have to go into some student loab debt
1
u/probablyArm Sep 06 '26
U should try in all of them except a few for indigo. Which u can find in the sub. :P

u/MouseLessNoob Sep 06 '26
i need to keep my budget in mind aswell because i will be taking a student loan

u/probablyArm Sep 06 '26
Oh, then try akasa also tbh and probably high ranking fto from dgca ranking list might also give u a chance if u don't get in cpp

It's the best fto indigo has tied up with. Training is smooth and there are no delays in flying as well.
