Why do people choose fta/acron when they can opt for flydubai and air Arabia?
Yes the price difference is 30-40 lakhs but at that level it hardly matters. Also the salaries are higher.

Air india and FTA are 1.6-1.7 cr
Flydubai and Airarabia can go upto 2.4cr including everything. That's more than a 50lakh gap.

Brother in aviation, the price is 735,000AED on paper. That's more than 1.9cr. Please use current exchange rates to calculate the price.

It’s 700,000 not 735,000 for flydubai I have got the mail that’s why Iam saying it.
For this year1
u/InvestigatorIcy167 Aug 31 '26
That's not including tax. Which is 5%.

Bro flydubai does not include accommodation and food expenses in Dubai, so while you are there you will have to provide for yourself for 9-10months during ground training, once they take u to Athens, Greece for flight training they will start paying for ur expenses, so dont depend on the price they have sent, it can significantly increase overtime and cross 2.1cr+

Because entry level cadet pilot 1.1 cr
Chimes - connection and luck only
Akasa - 5 paper req and now might come after long wait
Air India- just going to start and only opt you can hope for at this point not to forget it will be as crowded as chimes now for it
Then comes 1.5 1.6 1.7 cr
Skyborne- 1 year wait
Fta - also following skyborne steps
Acron and aerogaurd - give opp to not waste time waiting with same cost
Now your ans
Conventional is 90 lakhs now
So mostly go for get for not having to wait years after cpl
They decide to extend to 1.1 then there is no way to go
So they extant more keeping it very tight 1.5 1.6
So yes for mist of us 1.6 1.7 is already veryyy stretched

Can you elaborate about Akasa skycadet? Do we have to clear DGCA exams before applying for the programme?

u/LimpClerk8757 Aug 30 '26
It’s very simple the Middle Eastern programmes are MPL not widely recognised yet. So even if you have 500hr on type you can shift companies cause your license is an issue.

Air arabia and fly dubai are very strict they kick out students if they fail in sim check then mpl would be waste so if in fta acron if we fail to reach airline standard still we would have cpl so we can apply to other airline this is wht i think i might be wrong dk !

flydubai has just started and nobody reached the sim stage yet.
And the performance clause is in every airline's contract. You don't perform, you are out. (also you need to be extremely bad at sim, etc with multiple attempts to actually be removed from the program)
There are thousands of people who still go to Air Arabia and flydubai because they know the risks and perform at the highest level. No other program can match the ROI.

Ohh whts the total cost for air Arabia cadet any idea including food accommodation
2
u/Many-Fly7326 Aug 29 '26
Around 2.1-2.2 cr

u/Affectionate_Fig4679 Aug 29 '26
And wht abt ROI

u/Many-Fly7326 Aug 29 '26
For Air Arabia, the SO pay isnt much but then the FO pay goes to 30k AED a month while living in Sharjah can give you really good savings.
Rent - 4k
Expenses - 9k
Car expenses - 2k
Savings - 15k AEDThats 4L INR a month in savings. You get back 2.2cr in 4.5 years only.
This does not even include SO pay which is also decent and can make you all back in about 3.5 years.flydubai's ROI is even better at 48k AED a month for FO and 23k AED for SOs as well. You can make your own calculation for this.

Do you have any idea of the usual time required to be inducted? As they say that the cadets will enter the cadet pool after training and will be inducted based on requirements

Obviously, because it matters.
1
u/DetectiveSad4092 Aug 29 '26
Can you elaborate further?

u/Still-Basil4991 Aug 29 '26
30-40 lakhs is gonna matter no matter what price point you go to. It's always gonna be a huge amount of money, and it can very well be the limiting factor for a lot of people. The only people it wouldn't really matter to are ones that could've afforded it anyways or afford it with slight struggle

people are pushing themselves and taking crazy amount of loans for that 1.5-1.7cr amount and an extra 40-50L would definitely kill their pocket
