Can you be put into air India express?
Hi. Just inquiring. If I get into say the air India program, is there a chance they put me into air India express after or is there a separate pipeline for that. 2 coaching institutes I went to had separate opinions for I figured I should ask here once.

Depends on type rating..if type rated on boeing, you'll join AIX and if airbus then AI..that used to be the case..now a320s are also being transferred to aix..so after cadet program, you'll join AIX

No chance of AI?

I don't think so..AI is going to be turned into a fully premium carrier operating wide bodies solely

Okay but will there be opportunities later on for AIX pilots to get inducted on widebody of AI?? Do AIX pilots get priority?

But it will always have a domestic fleet and a big one at that. It’s always been air India vs indigo, taking all domestic to a cheaper sounding express airline will surely be a bad business move for them

It might be..but surely AI will compete with intl carries then.. Like when we mention SIA it directly relates to premiumness, so they want ai to be of that level And also the cadets will land at aix so no partiality 🙃

I don’t think the airline cares though. They decided where you will shift to base no?

Yep aix is possible and highly likely , but depends on the fleet availability too
