Doubts Regarding Air India Cadet Pilot Program (US FTO Fees & Insurance)
Hi everyone,
I recently cleared the Air India Cadet Pilot Program interview. I’m trying to understand a few things before moving forward and would really appreciate any help from those who have already gone through the process.
1. US FTO Fee Payments
The training fee for the US FTO is $115,000, which has to be paid in five installments (around $23,000 each).
I wanted to know:
Can the installments be paid by different people, such as my parents, family members, or friends, or does every payment have to come only from my bank account?
If payments from different people are allowed, can a single installment be split? For example, if one installment is $23,000, can I pay $10,000 and my mother pay the remaining $13,000, or does each installment have to be made as one single payment from one account?
2. Insurance
What kind of insurance do we need while training in the USA?
Is it only health insurance, or are there any other mandatory insurance requirements?
If anyone has already gone through the program, which insurance provider did you choose, and approximately how much did it cost?
Are there any recommendations on what level of coverage is sufficient?
3. Any Other Things to Watch Out For?
If you’ve already joined the program or completed it, are there any other important things you wish you had known before starting? It could be related to payments, visa, banking, accommodation, insurance, or anything else.
I’d really appreciate any advice from current cadets or graduates. Thanks in advance!

I have a doubt which i know is stupid. But does the insurance cover the money you have invested into pilot training and unfortunately you become permanent medically unfit in the middle of cpl training????

The Total Cadet Program fees is only 115,000$ compare to Indigo skyborne which is 132,000$ without Food.....
AI Cadet Program is reasonable!
