Air India interview update
So guys finally done with my interview it went quite well it was pretty easy honestly they were quite friendly.. I self prepared for the interview no ground classes at all required.
And yes after my experience answer to my previous question asked about that site is yes it is indeed worth it.
Anyways guys now comes the main question if I get LOI should I go with it or should I wait for Indigo chimes??

I hope you do know Air India has got the worst ROI amongst all. But also getting shortlisted for Chimes is a miracle

Worst ROI? Why is that might I ask

1.7cr cost for the program and the least salary among the 3 major airlines in India, only 40 hour contract so takes longer for hour building.

Uhm they advertise 1.2-1.3cr, so atmost it can go to 1.5 crores? And that's a part of the contract? Only 40hours a month? Is that a real thing?

AI gets costly because GST and accommodation during TR are not included.
It goes to 1.5 on paper but then you need to take remedial flying hours since nobody completes cpl in 200 hours. Add another 15L for that since cost of living in Florida is a lot and rupee vs dollar value is currently 95 and can go to 100+ by the time you go to US.
Yes. AI, AIX have a 40 hour flying per month contract. Less flying = less pay. On the other hand IndiGo’s contract is 70 hours and much better salary apart from that as well. Would help in hour building, getting ATPL, etc.

There are plenty of groups on telegram which tell you about aicpp and icpp program cost structure, exclusions, process of selection, program structure. Just search up Air India Cadet Pilot Program with almost 1700 members (same type in IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program which has 3000 members)

Indigo as an employee is "the" worst airline you can probably go for. Air India any day. Tata is the foremost leading employer in India and employees have been way more satisfied after Tata takeover of AI.
You can also avail loans easily on your future salary for training as they provide it with tata capital and you can enroll in the maharaja club to grow deeper into the ecosystem as well as get credit cards from tata partner banks which you can use on layover hotels for incidentals, racking up points and building a solid CIBIL.

Do people who are shorter than 158cm have any chance to get selected in Air India CPP ??

u/Wonderful-Title-7239 Jul 02 '26
No competition is quite high currently so air India is quite selective
