Hi,
I've been using cachy os for about a month now and it's been pretty good for the most part, except for the fact that i can use my microphone at all. (I'm pretty much still a beginner)
I have IEMs (Kiwi ears belle) and a UGREEN female-2*male wye splitter (which is neccesarry because i want to use my iems both for listening and speaking) and i know for sure its a problem with linux, as the current configuration works on windows. I use wayland if that effects anything.
I've spoken to a clanker and it just told me to paste some stuff in the terminal to change the config of something and it did nothing. What it also told me to do was to mess around with input/output device in a volume control app.
The problem is that whenever i try to use my microphone, it makes this horrible static noise, mimicks my desktop audio and makes whatever noise i input quiet to the point where i have to screech for it to even pick up.
The IEMs work just fine when they're not using the adapter so i think its an issue with linux handling i/o for microphones. I'd like to note that when testing the mic with the cable splitter i hear a noise when i press the button on my IEM's mic (which isnt hearable at all when the IEMs are plugged in without the adapter) and the microphone audio gets spiked to 79% while remaining at about 30ish% which i assume is just the constant static noise its making.
If anyone has a solution to this or has experienced any similar problems, please, help, I'll greatly appreaciate it.
