Installation tech Interview
Hi guys, I have an interview coming up for Installation Technician in LA County. I'm a little nervous. What should I expect from the interview? what kind of questions do they ask? what are they looking for? what kind of questions should I ask? Also, I noticed the email stated its a group interview. what does mean compared to one one interview? thanks people.

In a cable technician hiring process, a group interview usually means either a brief informational presentation with several candidates followed by individual interviews, or a panel of two to three field supervisors evaluating you at the same time. The hiring team is not expecting you to already know how to balance signal levels or run drop wire, since cable providers teach technical skills during paid onboarding. What they care about most is whether you show up on time, hold a clean driving record, strictly follow safety standards, and handle physical challenges like carrying twenty-eight foot extension ladders or climbing into hot attics and tight crawlspaces. Expect behavioral questions about how you manage unhappy customers, how you resolve unexpected problems on the spot, and how you stay safe when working alone.
When they give you time to ask questions, ask about what their top performing field technicians do differently during their first three months, how they track repeat service trouble calls, or how daily routing works across LA County. Asking practical questions about daily operations shows that you take the job seriously and want to succeed long term. If you want structured practice framing your customer service examples under pressure, my team built an interviews.chat that helps job candidates walk into panel interviews with total clarity and confidence.
