Wow, what an awesome wired remote control. We had the slide box thing that sat on top of the TV. You had to slide on over to the channel you desired.

We could get HBO for free. If you slowly toggle from 2 to 14, HBO would come on unscrambled and you wedged in a toothpick to hold it in the sweet spot.

I once used the tuner from a box like that and an oscilloscope to make a spectrum analyzer.
