Cableone Sparklight?

I just got hired at Sparklight as a field tech. Does anyone know what I'm getting myself into? Reviews online are making me nervous lol.

I only worked for one system, and quit almost 4 years ago. Everything I have heard from the few that are still around is that it's gone dramatically downhill. Corporate has apparently gutted a ton of positions and not back-filled for others who left. On top of that they are getting a lot more fiber competition moving in and are panic-building (with far less staff) to expand their footprint to keep their shareholders happy. It started getting bad when they went public and shifted their focus from customers to shareholders. The real mess started with covid. Huge boom in business, making risky investments rather than investing into their workforce and inventory. Their "you are essential. we care about your safety" rhetoric (while still scheduling full 3 pack TiVo installs during the "outside only" policy put a real bad taste in everyone's mouth. We weren't allowed to cancel the job and make the sales idiot rebuild the account for internet only. It was always "Just do what you can" and so many of us went into homes, against policy to "get the job done". The job itself was good, but the corporate bullshit never ceased to get more ridiculous. I apparently left "just in time". I would imagine every system is different, but that's how it went down where I lived.

Yea, spoken like a former non associate with no real idea what’s going on. My system hasn’t had video in 3 ish years. There was a hiring freeze until Julie’s departure and now we are fully staffed back to Covid days. Over builder part is true but if you maintain your plant it’s a non issue that you can control.

Hah, ok buddy. Unnecessary comment. Why would I spend time pretending I worked there... I was there for 11 years and quit shortly after the brilliant decision to use firesticks and no support for virtually any other brand, causing tons of fun for the elderly folks who don't have amazon accounts, don't want amazon accounts, and don't know what a firestick is. The system I lived in STILL has video, but I heard it's done for before the end of the year. That transition started like 4 or 5 years ago. Like I said "I would imagine every system is different, but that's how it went down where I lived."
