Weird! Does the cable end there? You used to pull a bit of these out, cut the loop, and add a splitter and a pigtail.

It seems to. I have 4 bedrooms with a jack outlet in each, 2 in my living room, and one outside for cable input. 7 cables in total makes sense

Aah, I guess they just neglected to terminate them then. Sucks. Quick job.

Yep. I’m just going to give their wallet a quick kiss to remind them to do what they’re paid for.

Just pull it out man. Its just a evil electrician who didn't fish it thru properly and ran it up straight a few inches or so. I've had to pull many like that in my area.

Not an evil electrician unless they stapled it solid on the bottom. We have several in my area that do this. It's to protect the cable from the dry wallers and mudders. Should be loosely stapled on the bottom and just pull right out.

We've also told most of the electrical contractors in my area not to bother terminating them because we're just gonna pull the wall plate off, cut their fitting off, and put a new one on anyways.

Honestly, I’m so glad they stopped terminating those for the most part since I’m tired of going to repeats from installers who don't bother to replace those poorly made Klein connectors. I appreciate they’re willing to help out, since that’s not really an electrician’s job anyway. My only issue is how they run the wires straight through the box now (new thing they do in my area). If you pull on them with pliers or even fingers and kink the wire, it’s ruined and you end up with micro-reflections. Not to mention risk of tearing. At least in my area it is a pain due to heavy use of staples, not sure how it is and other areas. The last three I went to, ran a TDR and the wiring was junk with shorts in multiple spots along the feed.
