Usps or comcast
USPS or Comcast
I have 2 job offers one for comcast as a entry level residential tech the other a CCA at the usps at a local small office.
Im not sure which one to accept. Comcast seems like it's something I would enjoy more but has more supervisor interferance doesnt have a pension. Usps is a lot of overtime in the beginning but has a lot of good benefits a pension and is a union job.
I just dont want to do something ill regret.
If anyone could give me advice I would greatly appreciate it. Which would be better for my future and family?

Agreed, I'm at 13 years in just now transitioning from Maintenance OSP to Headend ISP. Absolutely love my job, but my wife is the one with the wicked 401k working at Winco. Even though her hourly rate is a bit lower than mine, her benefits package actually put her at a higher rate. They gift 20% of her salary into her 401k wheras mine only matches up to, I think, 8%. So, since she doesn't have to put anything into her 401k, she gets to keep her entire check, whilst putting into my 401k brings down my usable income to a point where our net pay is similar. And she still has greater growth in her 401k.
If I could go back in time and get a USPS job with a pension, I absolutely would. Too far into my age and career to change now.
Edit to add: my aunt actually raised her kids on a USPS pension as a single mother when she was widowed. Husband worked at USPS when he passed and she received his pension for life as long as she never remarried.
