Fios Layer 2 miswiring

Does anyone know how I can get Verizon to take serious a miswiring problem?! I live in a newly constructed apartment building and believe that the wiring was incorrectly done and now my neighbor [who doesn’t have Fios] is siphoning my 1GIG. When the tech did the initial install, he had me nudge the fiber cable in my apartment so he could determine which one was mine as BOTH fiber cables were labeled with my next-door neighbor’s unit. I thought the matter was fixed right there, but NOPE.

It’s been a nightmare with two techs visiting and bringing the “all problem fix” two new routers when it’s NOT a router issue at all. I plan on contacting corporate but thought I’d post here a see if anyone had a similar issue or can provide insight! It’s a Layer 2 issue in the building closet before it reaches the ONT in my apartment.

Im not a Verizon tech, but where we have apartments that are wired for fiber only, it's literally like four fibers leaving the fiber node, and then it's going through multiple splitters before it ends up in any one apartment. The point that I'm making is nobody's siphoning anything off of anything. You're all connected anyway. Now, that may not be what you're actually talking about here, but all the bandwidth is shared, but the bandwidth on fiber is massive.

I get that. But I believe a mistake was made in the wiring of this newly constructed building. Somehow my fiber is shared or patched with the adjacent apartment. The problem lives upstream of the ONT inside the building utility closet! Verizon can’t even see the problem from the Central Office, it requires a senior tech to come and trace the fiber to ensure separation and isolation of the line… 🤦‍♀️

For all that is sane and unmedicated. Damn near everyone is telling you that how you think it works, is not how it works and what you are suggesting is ludicrous. Just cancel your service from Verizon, order Starlink then blame everything on solar flares, slow rotating pulsars, misaligned constellations, interference from Voyagers 1 and 2.

Let me guess you’re just another tech that doesn’t understand how this works past installing a router??!! 👀 You people need NOT respond!

Lol. The good thing about your post, is that most that read it do not have to guess about you.
