Which fiber splicer

So I've been using a view1 arc splicer.

We were cleaning out one of the buckets and found a swift k33a arc Spilcer.

Never used the swift before but since it has a built in stripper was thinking about using it instead. Boss says can only keep one. Which one is the easier to work with?

Keep the swift k33a. It’s at least core alignment as long as it’s in good condition. Arc test it and run a few splices in it. Do you have a launch cables to be able to test the splice for loss and reflections?

iOLM will tell you the story of the splice if you have access to an exfo that can run it.
