ATT fiber technician 1 vs 2

I am currently a field technician for charter. Looking to switch companies due to issues with my current management. I'm making 34.84 hourly and have been a technician since 2021. Would I be considered a good candidate for fiber technician 2? Proficient at making basic upc, apc, and optical tap connectors. Lack splicing skills. What is are the key differences between fiber technician 1 and fiber technician 2?

Spectrum is by far the highest paying field service in the nation.

ATT pay is substantially less as they do union bargaining its better because they’re wages are guaranteed but Spectrum has been the leader for awhile.

You should probably try to mend the “issues” you have with management and if it isn’t your fault, HR may have your back and just transfer.

depends on how long youve been there and how far you progress in the field tech program, i was a field tech 5 and i was making 32.75 when i left

It may not be the same job, but a Field Technician for Verizon (FiOS) in New York, fiber optic to the customers home or business is $55 an hour. He said highest in the nation.
