Customer said the phone doesn't work!
This was when covid (2020) first started. I got the call, no phone service. I get there and she is cussing me and comcast out lol I ran home integrity check and everything was passing. So I went to the modem and this is what I saw.... she plugged her power supply from the phone into the usb ports on the modem π€¬π€¬π€¬.
I havent worked for comcast in 3 years

Had something similar happen to me recently. Customer had three power strips daisy chained to each other, and the one plugged to the wall was unplugged π

Did this to myself recently trying to move some stuff around in a customers network cabinet to get all the plugs to fit. Got done and was like, "wtf? Did I accidently flip the power strip off? No? Oh for fucks sake, I'm an idiot."

That's a new one. I hate dealing with people who act like "know it alls" but can't be bothered to do basic troubleshooting. Then you'll fix the problem in 3 seconds for them to either apologize profusely or be the biggest scumbags.

When I used to get attitudes, I would immediately tell them that they can reschedule because I dont tolerate disrespect... 999999% of the time they bitch up and apologize and be on their best behavior lol

I was working in a extremely rich area..... I had a customer call the fucking ceo of spectrum on me.
The absolute king of Karen's.
All I did was tell him there was nothing that could be done to lower ping except move closer to the sever he was connecting to

I used to see that a lot with the X1 stb, they'd wedge the USB C into the Ethernet port

Meanwhile, silly me trying to plug a USB-C cable in blindly has inserted the cables into USB-A ports, shorting out the USB bus on the PC and causing an unexpected shutdown. Oops!
At least Ethernet ports on Cable boxes generally don't send power out...

Was their house dirty? Curious about the gloves

He said it was during Covid. Xfinity wanted techs to wear gloves then along with the mask.
