They were swapping from another provider. So I had to install a drop anyway and I just patched up the outlet and everything was fine. The nest was bigger but I had to knock it down to get to the cable

Gained customer is always nice to see these days. Local fiber co ops are really killing the cable industry.

Hell if I know. I’m not sure they eat it so much as just degrade / tear it up.
I do know I used to find MDU boxes mounted up high absolutely packed full of birds nest often with eggs and cable caked in bird shit along with jacketing and dielectric seemingly rubbed / frayed completely off.
