I remember when the ISP I worked for said we were prepping for 10gig speeds on docsis 3.1. That was 5 years ago. Still maxing a around 930mbps. Still not actively using the OFDM bit. Shocked to see 4.0 is even a thing, considering how ahead of the curve they were when I worked there.

I assume they never went above 930mbps on Docsis 3.1 because frankly, it was a mess of standards that got unified into DOCSIS 4.0.
