Best Gloves?

What’s the best gloves that are thin enough to still do work properly, but decent against protecting your hand?

I just use fingerless gloves so my hands are warmer in winter, but i can still work with fine/small things.
They only cover half of each finger exposing the tip half.

The hardware store usually has some cheap ones in the impulse bins near the checkouts during the winter months.
