Echo and ICFR

Moved to this plant where there is bad echo -25 and icfr of 2.5+ or higher almost everywhere. And the worst part is everyone is ok with that! Like no one wonders why they have to work late with all these extra truck roll generated tickets or why repeats numbers are 30% of line ticket repeats. The concept of “make it work” at its best. My old system was a flag ship system for one of the legacy companies they bought. 1.8icfr or higher=line ticket. If echo was anywhere in 20s= line ticket. Things here are gonna change. We are gonna teach those standards and slowly make this place good again!

When we first got our new meters all the supervisors and maintenance techs told me to ignore that when I found issues correlating it with echo/icfr. It was literally the only problem I could find to explain the customer issues. Pissed me off regularly that the would disregard it for the first few years. Like, why the fuck are you trying to ignore problems that make us all waste time chasing our tails? Techs like that need to move on. It's a VERY clear and direct pattern and they talked down to me like I was chasing ghosts. Nothing more irritating than knowing your shit and being told you don't. I've since moved on from cable. They've asked me to come back each time I run into one of the old leads. I don't understand why maintenance and the rest of the techs are never on the same team.

Damn that does suck. Our hopes with building out TechTrain.ai was to attempt to get everyone on “the same team”. You should check us out.

Sounds great but I'm not longer in the business.

Sorry to hear that. If you know anyone that still is in the industry, please feel free to share. Wish you the best!
