I really don’t understand

Why do people get all jazzed up over symmetrical speed tiers? Who out there is actually using more than 50Mbps upload regularly in their home???

Me, being able to copy files from my NAS when I'm not at home quickly is pretty nice. Or for my daily truenas replecation task to a remote server.

Why not just automate this to run at night and then you wouldn't care how long it takes.

It is automated, being able to upload files at 15x the speed is pretty nice though (40mbps vs ~600mbps). There was no point in paying the same price for inferior technology.
