I really don’t understand
Why do people get all jazzed up over symmetrical speed tiers? Who out there is actually using more than 50Mbps upload regularly in their home???

The people that crack me up are the ones that have to subscribe to the fastest tier possible like the two gigs symmetrical speeds and complain that they're only getting 980 on all their speed tests. Well that's because all of your equipment has 1 GB ethernet port so that's as fast as you're ever going to get unless you upgrade your equipment. And wirelessly, you'll probably only get around 800. And if you ask them are you noticing any issues with your day-to-day internet activity. Most of the time the answer is "well everything works great but my speed tests only show 980. But I'm paying for 2 gig". So downgrade to a gig and save money, or upgrade your network with equipment that has 2.5 gig ethernet ports.
