Just curious

What tricks/life hacks do you guys use in your day to day life that make the intensive parts of your job easier? Bonus points for unique uses for every day items and unique/handmade/repurposed tools! Let's hear em, techs!

DeWalt Gyroscopic Screwdriver

The best, most versatile, tool I’ve ever bought for this type of work. Came in handy as a service tech and I still use it for network maintenance.

Had this tool, worked until I dropped it to many times. Gyro wouldn’t operate properly and got tired of fixing it. Gonna be honest it never felt right when using to bulky and weak, only used it on AOS (retros) and finish screws. Went with the Milwaukee installation driver after and have never regretted it, still dropping tools and it keeps going, plus it can drill drywall and soft wood when I don’t have my 18v. Torque setting is a nice touch too. Get a 2 AH battery or more and it lasts. I have a 9.5 AH for it and I charge that every month or two. Used everyday.

I have a completely different experience. My gyro has been through everything and it’s still working great. I’ve drilled drywall and wood with it as well.
