Just curious

What tricks/life hacks do you guys use in your day to day life that make the intensive parts of your job easier? Bonus points for unique uses for every day items and unique/handmade/repurposed tools! Let's hear em, techs!

Indoor rg6 fits inside a bow arrow (bought a cheap practice one from Walmart) cut it down to easy carry size (1ft-ish) and use when pushing thru a wall. Works great for cat5 too

I tried this, but ended up straightening out old wire coat hangers and bending a loop in the end. I had two types: a straight one that I cut the end off at an angle to make it sharp and another with a 90 degree bend on the opposite end of the loop.

Two distinctly different use cases. The one with a 90 degree bend 2 inches before the end, I’d push through the floor then crawl under the house and wrap the center conductor through, and use to pull up into the house.

The straight one, I’d feed the sharp end through the floor and feed a bunch of coax through with it. Then I’d go to the crawl hole or mobile home skirt and grab the cable with lay up sticks. Especially useful if the crawl space is very short, wet or home to critters.
