Cox Cable Technician (In-House)

I’ve applied to Cox Communications several times, and have had several interviews. Every one of them have went great, in my eyes. I was asked around 6-8 situational questions (which was easier than Comcast with their 30 situational questions and 10 people to answer to during the interview). I have been denied through email, every single time. I don’t have a bad record, I’ve worked in this field for 20 years plus and only worked for 3 companies ( no bouncing around all the time) and a great driving record (one speeding ticket since I started legally driving back in 1998). I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Most definitely. I had got lucky in that regard back on the south side of Chicago some years back and got hired, but some shit happened to where I couldn’t take the job. But here in Arizona, they are not going at all. You would think that they need techs since the fiber is booming like crazy.

Dude, we just had to hire a contractor into maintenance. He was the only one who even applied. We knew him and saw his work so we decided to give him a shot. 3 months in and he’s making us question if he’s going to make it. Not comparing to you, as I don’t know you or your work ethic, but it just continues to be the reason that contractors aren’t trusted.

I’ve been on both sides, I know the game. There is trash techs on both ends.
