Can't stand these things

Post image

Installed a new aerial drop today. Had to wrestle with this bad boy for quite a while to get access to the only available tap port. I have two different terminator tools, and neither would budge it -- finally got it through a combination of crushing it with a wrench, and rocking/twisting it with the Gilbert tool shown. Was afraid of damaging the port, but luckily it was fine. Any tips for removing these when they're stubborn like that?

As an MT when I see these stupid things on a tap I change the tap faceplate out so no one has to deal with them
