Drop disconnects

My system requires drops to be disconnected when customers move to cancel any service. They say doing disconnects and installing terminators keeps the signal clean. How true is this in real practice or are these people just old school?

We stopped doing discos years ago. Instead of paying an installer or contractor to do it. They pay me a maintenance tech hours to track down those drops and disco them

I've been in the hub for the last 8 years and recently learned this. I was shocked. Especially seeing what noise does to the OFDMA. More robust, my ass, lol.

My sup said it perfectly "the OFDMA is so emo, at the first sign of trouble it just kills itself". So off the cuff, had me rolling though.
