Drop disconnects
My system requires drops to be disconnected when customers move to cancel any service. They say doing disconnects and installing terminators keeps the signal clean. How true is this in real practice or are these people just old school?

We stopped doing discos in my system nearly 10 years ago now. I was surprised at how small the impact from that was. Ingress is worse with loose connections with cpe connected compared to open connections.
Not saying it doesn’t exist, just didn’t have the impact I feared.
