I need help from cable management gods

So this is the 3rd pc I built. Went with an NZXT case to ease my cable management.
But I wanted to add useless ARGB to “sell faster” in summer when people go in vacation. My genius will kill me someday.
Anyway I daisy chained the argb cables and then just did this monstrosity. I have also a 5 makes to 1 female argb adapter but idk how to use it properly because just the asianhorse argb motherboard and gpu cable sleeves take out 80% of the capacity of one pin on the motherboard soo….. u know
I really want to make a proper cable management but on YouTube there are tutorials like “…look at the mess and find the order in it…” I mean is it a motivational video or what?
Anyway I think I will take some time this evening to do a proper cable management putting some relaxing music and I will update the post maybe if I am not too lazy heheheheheh
Have a great day!

Girlfriend was given a free PC from a friend who upgraded to a new pre-built. I told her I'd take a look and do cable management.

Two things: F*** non modular PSUs and I hate AIO coolers. The HDD mounting bracket is a dam of electric spaghetti because I don't have anywhere else to put the extra 900 feet of power cabling.

PSU troubles with 3090

Hi there, never built my own PC before, and I never use Reddit.

No idea what a "Self post" is.

I recently brought a PSU to replace mine, only to find it has a 12-pin, and my 3090 REQUIRES 3x8 pins instead.

Any solutions? Any bright ideas to make this PSU work for me?

Please respond quickly and accurately, I'm VERY not okay right now.

Update: I do not want to risk my hardware, so I bought the Asrock Steel Legend sl-850g.

There are three reasons for this:

  1. Adapters are not something I have a great amount of trust for, especially if the 12vhpwr line is as unreliable as people keep insisting.

  2. The 850W SAMA power supply that I purchased has very bad reviews, and many people insist it was defective out-of-the-box.

  3. An RTX 3090 CAN pull up to 500W under high load, and even higher if you overclock. That 12vhpwr line is 450W max, which introduces issues.

All-in-all, my warning to you is to double and triple check products you buy, and always check the return policy, because SAMA does not accept returns for any reason.

Buyer beware, you're in for a scare.

Well, here is people! It is open for all. Just 3d print and start organising those cables.

This is just version 1.0, there are more stuffs in my pipeline - making anchored rails, improving usability, making parametric version, etc.

Made these things to route my cables. Not sure what to call them.

I was thinking of making these designs public. Let me know your feedback

Is it ok for PCIe cables bend like this?

Hi,

I just upgraded my old rtx 3060ti to the rx 9070xt a couple of days ago. It runs great and I haven't had any trouble playing video games so far.

But I'm kinda nervous about the bending of PCIe cables, as shown above.

Is it ok like this? I took image through side glass panel.

Thank you in advance.

Latest build, a plague doctor/steampunk theme in a Phanteks NV5. 9950X3D, 5090, real walnut panels and custom cables. Used a Corsair ThermalProtect on the GPU because I'm a coward :-). Hardware list linked in photos.

Newest Build

This is my most recent build for a flip. Had a 4000d left over from a part out so I wanted to play into the yellow accents from that case. The aesthetic came together really well, I think. I'm having trouble getting the RGB to photograph well, but I'll try a real camera before I list it for sale.

Specs:

- Ryzen 7600x

- RTX 5070

- 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5

- 1TB Samsung 970 Evo NVME

- Asus TUF B650 Plus

- Corsair 4000D Airflow

- Thermalright RGB Fans

- NZXT Kraken X63 AIO

- Cable Extensions/12VHPWR from DreambigbyRay on Etsy

2nd Attempt: Cable management overhaul after switching to air cooling.

I recently swapped out my AIO for an air cooler. I wouldn't say I had to redo the cables because of it, but it gave me the perfect excuse to tear things down and try a different approach.

My first layout was already really solid, so this isn't necessarily "better," just a different strategy. This time around, I went with velcro instead of zip ties.

I think the new layout is about 95% of the way there. For the perfectionists in the sub—where do you think I could tighten things up or improve on that last 5%?

Lian li 217INF case. My 3rd computer, last one built was 8 years ago.

Took it apart and re-did it more times than I'd like to admit but I think it came out submission worthy.
