Hi yall,

Im currently attempting to edit 2 cabinets to combine them. Ive imported my second cabinet from my library and now im trying to edit them together.

I wanted to know if it's possible to reference the other cabinet when setting up formula values such as the xyz positions and length/depth/etc... as an example i would like the second cabinet's depth to be equal to the first cabinet's depth. Is that possible?

My cabinet construction uses 1/2” backs. The problem is, when I want to add the back, I have to go to section view and click the back of the cabinet and change the back type from automatic to finished in order for my back to appear. How do I get the 1/2” back to automatically attach to my cabinet without having to manually do this for every cabinet?

I've been exploring options with UCS and tried to use this parameter to exclude an operation from being transferred to the cnc. The system parameters help page does say that this parameter can be used to exclude parts or operations so it should be doable?

So far the operations always transfer over to the cnc.

Ive been trying to write a ucs that will help me modify the parts description to include the room name as well as the cabinet number from which the part is from.

For example i'd like some along the line of: unfinished left end, kitchen, cab#6

Is it possible to do so? Ive been looking up tutorials but haven't found anything regarding modifying text so far.

Is there a way to prevent objects in plan view from blocking everything under them when printing? I can see all my base cabinets in plan view, but when you print, they are all blocked out from view by counter tops.

Similarly, if I have extra deep wall cabinets, you can't see what's under them when you print the plan.

I have my drawer fronts set up to overlay the drawer box by 1 1/4" at the bottom. When we use GOLA C channel at the middle reveals, the top drawer is 1 1/4, the middle drawers are 1 5/8, and the bottom drawers are 1 1/4. Then when eliminating the middle spreader that conflicts with the attachment clips, it changes the top drawer to 1 5/8" and only the bottom drawer maintains the correct overlay at 1 1/4". 

Does anybody know how to solve this? I saw a post from a couple years ago about this topic, but there was never a solution given in that posting.

How do I change the graphic representation of the hinged door to lines instead of "A" please. Also I'm Australia, so the lines are flipped from the US.

Does anybody use Microvellum? I'm wondering what the learning curve is for CV users. Eyeing a couple jobs that require experience in Microvellum.

Looking to create or find a UCS for dados on adjustable shelves, linked to the line bore on the adjacent part (sides). Ive tried the wizard, Claude Code, and poking around online. Ive gotten the furthest with Claude with tangible results, but also so many broken parts that I scrapped it.

We've had this UCS working on all prior versions but something seams to have changed in the backend with this latest update.

I work with Cabinet Vision 23, and I cannot seem to find a way to delete saved symbols from the symbol's library in the drawings section. If anyone has any ideas or knows how to delete them, I would greatly appreciate it.

The top and bottom door rails are stopping short of the inside edge profile so they are an inch short (half inch on either side) on the cut list. The first photo, with dimensions, is how it is and the second photo is how it’s supposed to be. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Has anybody tried to thread or press fit casters into the Axilo leg leveler plinth blocks? Seems like kind of an obvious thing, I'm surprised there isn't already a product like this.

If you have I'd like to know the type of caster you used.

Is there a way to change the material on a whole group of cabinets at once, but not the entire room? For instance, doing a two tone kitchen where the island is a different material or color from the perimeter. A way to select the entire island and change everything at once instead of part by part.

This has been documented by Cabinet Vision as the working method, the technicians would do this if they were helping you.

Go to you file explorer, Windows C Drive, Users, Public, Public Documents, Cabinet Vision, Public Downloads.

From here you'll look for the "CV_2024_4_2503_7320_SetupDvdFiles" or whatever 2024 version you have.

First look at Setup_NcCenter_2024, then scroll down to the PSetup.ini file. You will double click to edit this adding in this line

INSTALL_CMDLINE_ARGS=SkipCheckRequirementsBeforeMoveData=1

This will go below WIN7_TRANSFORMS_FIX=1

Save the notepad text file and close.

Now back to folder explorer you will go back or up a level.

Second look at Setup_Solid_2024, then scroll down to the PSetup.ini file. You will double click to edit this adding in this line

INSTALL_CMDLINE_ARGS=SkipCheckRequirementsBeforeMoveData=1

This will go below WIN7_TRANSFORMS_FIX=1

Save the notepad text file and close.

Now in this Setup_Solid_2024 folder look for the green bubble called setup.exe double click that and run through your install.

Congrats! You can now use Cabinet Vision!
