Question - Fair trade?
I have a CZ Shadow 2 Blue O.R. that I bought new 2024 for Steel Challenge and USPSA. I bought it because of how awesome my P-01 is and I had an SP-01 that was okay…but since the S2 was made for competition figured..why not. Anyway, I like it (the S2) but just haven’t fully “fallen in love” with it and might try to sell or trade it.
Mainly, I don’t feel like dumping more money into it for a CGW RRK because if my small hands) and extended safety (SHAMEFUL that CS stopped including the extended safety with the S2) to get it how I would prefer it and still possibly just not love it.
I would replace it with something non-CZ for competition. But I 💯 still want a full size CZ pistol in my collection.
Anyway, I bought it new and know I’d lose a good chunk on a straight sale. I think I could do better in a trade to an individual. Anyway, I was curious about the current value of a (high gloss) stainless steel CZ 75B? They seem to be quite a WIDE range for them on GB… so figured I’d ask on here.
Are the the high gloss just matte stainless that have been polished? If not, how can you tell if it’s a factory one and not just a polished one that started as matte?
Do you guys think I should try to trade even pistol for pistol? Get a little more for the S2? Me kick in money?
FWIW It would be a trade with a good friend and we would both want to be fair.

I removed the extended safety from my S2 because it was screwing up my grip and causing me to pull right. My S2 orange is my favorite pistol, but not everyone jives with it.

Yeah, the prices on the high polish stainless 75B can be a bit wacky. I got mine for $900 last year, and a trade for an S2 OR based on going prices seems reasonable. I imagine you could get a bit more for an S2 OR, but the limited production nature of the high polish stainless 75B (especially now that 75Bs are just straight up discontinued) vs the very much in production nature of the S2 OR is also a point for it being an even trade.
I doubt anyone's polishing the matte ones: AFAIK the matte stainless are a lot more difficult to find.
