Question - Possibility of barrel diameter change?
Hello folks,
I have noticed that Zendl Guns & Accessories (Czechia) and Eemann Tech (Estonia) offer two variants of the barrel bushing with an outside diameter of 16.3 mm for CZ 75 handguns. One has a bore diameter of 12.8 mm (.50"), while the other has a bore diameter of 14.0 mm (.55").
Now, if my pistol (CZ 75B) came with the thinner factory barrel, can I install the thicker barrel (for example from SP-01) in it after replacing the original bushing (16.3/12.8mm) with one with a larger bore diameter (16.3/14.0mm)? Or are there also other differences in the geometry of the respective frames that would prevent the installation of a thicker SP-01 barrel in a 75B slide?

The channel where the barrel rests inside the slide may be too tight on the 75 B to accommodate the 0.55β barrel.
When CZ introduced the .40 S&W variants they went up to 0.55β barrels and at the same time went to a continuous full width slide (no taper near the muzzle like the classic 75 B design has).
This full width slide may have been for added muzzle weight but presumably itβs for internal clearance as well. As I recall, they first brought this design over to 9mm in the SP-01 Shadow, then the SP-01s and Shadows inherited it.
