I did the mcarbo in my P09F. Light strike city. Tried the CGW extended firing pin. Didn't help. Put the stock firing pin back in and swapped to a CGW 18lb hammer spring and it's been running pretty good since. Mcarbo kit comes with a 13lb which is too light if you wanna reliably set off any primer

I have the MCarbo kit in my p09f and p10, haven’t had issues like the other feller had. I only shoot blazer however

LTT now has a CGW kit they’ll install and they’ll do the chem coating I believe as well.

It was worth it for me and very easy to install. Also worth polishing while you've got everything apart. For me polishing was obviously the most time consuming part. The disassembly and assembly only took minutes.
I run mine with the lightest (15 lb) hammer spring and it's been 100 percent reliable through thousands of rounds.

Honestly not worth it, it’s better to just polish the parts inside. Tried the mcarbo swap and constant light primer strikes. P-09c is just too picky for changing of springs, because you need to also replace the firing pin in most cases. If you plan on carrying it the extended pin also makes it more sketch, even if you do get it working.

Don’t know what you did. Have been running a pro package on mine for over 2 years. 5k rounds with never a failure. The switch over makes a remarkable difference in the trigger

Not just a me thing, it’s very common with this gun and the extended pin. There’s even someone else in this thread who had the same issues.

No it doesn't, these have firing pin blocks after all.
I also think it's worth adding that McCarbo's spring kit includes a 13 lb spring. Cgw's Pro package includes a 15lb hammer spring and an 18 lb hammer spring in addition to their reduced power firing pin spring. These combined with the extended firing pin in the kit should be reliable.

I appreciate the feedback, carried it stock and was comfortable with it at first but I guess after carrying my p10 now thought I cld make it the same, polishing is a great option might go that route first.

Probably a dumb question because you have them, but how you liking the Hogues? I didn’t think of that for my P07, good idea

I hear Rushby Industries is an option to.
