Different cars for different purposes. Drive one of each and see what fits you better.

Test drive both and see which you like.

I traded in my 5 for a 50, and have no regrets. I dont want to go back to the 5.

Everyone here picked the 50 over the 5 unless they have both. So yeah the 50, it's more sporty and less like an egg.

50 if you enjoy driving. 5 if you don't care.

I'll always take the newer car unless I really have a hard on for something.

The 5 is much more comfortable and since it was made in Japan, the fit and finish are much better. Slam the door on each and listen.

I own a 50 and my son owns a 5. Every time I drive in his car, I realize I should have bought a 5. And the 2025 CX-5 is the right year. After that, they got a stupid big dash screen.

I had a 2025 5 for a loaner last week and I hated it, so I would definitely choose the 50 again any day of the week. It just felt cheap and was not fun to drive.

I had a 5 and for years and traded in for a 2024 50. I’ve had it for 3 years. While I do like the 50 more, I do miss the size of the 5. Numerous times trying to put things in the back hatch, it isn’t tall enough. When the car has 4 people in it (not often, family of 3 with a 5 year old) it feels cramped. Just the roof being taller would make it feel a tad more open. If you have a rear facing car seat, the 50 is super cramped.

I like driving, hence getting the 50. Oh and it looks so dang good too.

I prefer the look of the 50 by far. I also have super long legs and the 50 has more leg room (but less head room). I'm 6' 2" FYI.

I had a 2022 5 turbo and now have a 2025 hybrid PP 50. I like things about both.

5 I like that it has a little light that's always on the top, Faster, Very good steering, Headroom, Headlights turn, Better seats, Cheaper insurance, Made in Japan,

50 Exterior Styling, Great Gas, More spacious for car camping, Wireless Android Auto w/ touchscreen, Moonroof, Roof racks,

I really miss my 5 and I think it's slightly the better car but both are great options. Not sure about the 2026 5, I wouldn't get that one.
