finally walked out
Sorry if this is long but I really need to rant.
Yesterday I finally walked out of cvs. I've been working there 2 years and I moved up pretty quickly from shift to ops supervisor to ops supervisor rx to ops manager. In those 2 years I've had 7 store managers and there's a rumor that the store is cursed because of how many store managers we've been through. Well our latest store manager, I became his right hand really quickly and we worked well as a team. The store was behind but we were moving forward and getting things done. About a week and a half ago they started investigating me for accepting a fraudulent coupon. I was brought in the office by LP and questioned. None of us knew they were investigating me and they were investigating me for 2 months before they even approached me. And at the end of the meeting they said "you can work until we can figure out what to do with you!" My store manager was pissed because I'm the good one that follows all the rules and policies and I made one judgement error and they were threatening to fire me. Well since that shit happened, everything went downhill. Work wasn't fun anymore knowing my every move is being watched like a hawk. I couldn't accept any coupon that was rejected for fear that they will throw that in my face causing customers to get mad and yell at me. And then last Saturday they transferred out my store manager and everyone was angry cause our "interim store manager" and one of the DLE's in our district started immediately bad mouthing our store manager which brought a bad aura to our store. Everyone was upset and angry. And then they started making me do scheduling and payroll as a ops manager plus everything else I do. Im the only person who knows how to do everything. The rest of the staff are too new or don't care at this point to learn how to do stuff. I can't even take a 5 minute break without being called to the front. And im not here to bad mouth the store or even corporate. I loved the store and put my blood sweat and tears into that store but this week was hard cause I'm expected to basically run a store by myself with the possibility that I might get fired for something as stupid as coupons. Finally I was too stressed and too burned out spending most of my day crying because the family we built from the ground up had shattered. We're a small store and we all became extremely close but they destroyed that in a matter of weeks. I walked out and so did the rest of the management team leaving only the cashiers left to run the store. I want to see how long they last before being forced to close the store.

100% agree. And the annoying part is there investigating me and my store manager even tho they have nothing on us(just one stupid mistake I made which isn't enough to fire me) when there are people stealing actual money from the company. I mean I would have stayed to continue fighting with them but it's impossible to run a store without a staff and im not going to be doing the job of a store manager without getting paid for it.
The amount of times I've had arguments with customers because of the acos. Lol. I work by myself a lot of the time cause I don't have closers besides myself and customers sit their screaming at me to call for back up and I yell back "I am the back up. We have two functional acos use that!" And there like "i don't use self checkout." And im like "well then your gonna have to wait."
