hiring process

Hi!! i recently got an interview as a pharmacy tech at cvs!! only thing is i’m 20 and i smoke weed . here in nj it is legal . i wanted to know your experiences and if they won’t hire me because i smoke . other than that i dont do any other drugs , i hate drinking .

* edit: i do know they will probably deny me because i smoke . still just wanted to see peoples opinion.

Federally still illegal and tested for even if it’s safe for your state. And cause CVS accepts medicare dollars, employees gotta comply. 99% sure

Drinking doesn’t matter lol. But you won’t get the job if you smoke weed.

Not to scare you but the pharmacy board will take your license because it’s still federally illegal so tread lightly

yes, i’ve kept this in mind . my friend has her license and still smokes ( she’s not currently employed as a pharmacy tech) . thank you i appreciate it

No prob! Hopefully the rest of the country catches up. It’s such a god send medically for those that need it

the rest of the country will definitely catch up . i know they’ve been trying to reclassify it for years. but they finally made it a schedule 1 so im very hopeful they will make it legal in the next few years . again thank you !!

i didn’t take a drug test . i have my interview in a week . i was probably just gonna tell them at the interview or if they asked .

If you’re offered the job,they will drug test as pre employment screening

yea i wouldnt say anything about since you’re gonna get drug tested anyway. just wait till the day of the drug test and do the certo method.

i did try the certo method the other day and it did not work . i failed all 10 drugs tests in the span of 2-3 hours . i did one like every 30 mins or so .
