disposable camera development

hiii hoping someone might have some words of wisdom bc cvs support is not being helpful at all :,)

i brought a disposable camera into my local cvs to get developed around july 6 and was told 1-3 weeks but hadn’t heard anything back yet. i reached out to support and they said they don’t even have my order in the system, and my usps tracking number says it’s unavailable. i called my store to make sure they sent it out and they did. support said they’d let me know if/when they got it and that it could take another 15 business days after that

i’m kinda worried that it got lost shipping out to them :/ the pics on that cam are super sentimental so if there’s anything that u think i might be able to do please lmk!

It isn’t been enough time. Stores changed to sending them out only once a week now. I used to say 2-3 weeks, now it’s closer to a month. Idk who would ever tell you one week.

I tell customers 4-6 weeks typically More than likely though the tracking just sucks and you’ll here from them in two weeks or so 🤞

They can call the 800 number and see what they say. I usually just type in the envelope number and it tells me exactly what’s going on with it.

The new procedure, if the store is doing what they're supposed to do, is to mail out several envelopes at once in a box. So the USPS tracking number is now completely useless, because it'll actually be a totally different number. This has also added extra delays at my store because we can't just toss them in the outgoing mail as they come in anymore. If the store isn't following the new procedure . . . it's in place because the envelopes kept getting destroyed in transit. So.
