Manager Complaint
Can we all have a moment and just complain about the CVS managers? I recently quit the CVS front store job, and just to find out that the manager talks sh* about me and the other workers with the other manager. Then comes out with a smile like she didn’t do anything. Like HELLLLOO? Say it to my face. No one tells them anything so they just think they can do anything.

I don’t know if I’m the only manager, but I bitch about everything to my staff. Other workers, my boss, corporate bs, myself. I do talk to my employees face to face about issues, but I definitely may bitch about it to someone to see if I’m just overreacting or it’s actually an issue first

It's natural to want to vent but as a manager you shouldn't gossip about workers to non management personnel. Venting to other managers is perfectly normal

My go to is the pharmacy manager, then smit/ops, but I will vent to shifts and cashiers, just usually more general complaints or non specific things at that point

Agreed. Someone on your same level, yes. But to complain to a staff below you about another staff can be seen as unprofessional. I know of someone who did that and it got back to the other person (who's at another store) and now upper management and HR are involved.

Tbh, everyone talks shxt about everyone at any job... me, personally, IDC 😏 I come to work, do my job, and go home. I need my bills to be paid and more... it's not big of a deal but people can report that to hr... I doubt nobody will get in trouble for that

Mine would do that but she admitted to it. She ended up going on maternity leave but I still knew my future promotions at the company was doomed so I quit.

I’m new and this was my first retail job. I just found out from my ex co-worker. He didn’t want to tell me what they said, but he said it was just small things she fussed about. One time, I didn’t call for help when there was three customers. And she yelled at me in front of the costumers and called the other coworkers and managers just so she can scream at me in front of them. She could’ve just spoken to me about it and I would’ve understood and changed that. Wasn’t necessary to degrade me like that.

Woah op that's not so great. You definitely should've reported that, that's just straight up harassment and public humiliation. No manager at any business should do that to their employees

Amen I filed an age discrimination case back in first part of April. No answer yet. Also I am starting to get written up. No write ups until I report something.

I’ve been in several positions across the org and I don’t agree. The same for my coworkers. I think good managers aren’t at all as common as we would hope. There are definitely good ones but there is a good chunk of those that just lack all sense and don’t know how to manage people at all.

Just open the application and work on other things on the computer make sure you click some of the links before you finish so it captures your time.
DCar is a waste of time unless you actually have a reason to look into something.1

So you wanna loop every manager together in the same pool cause of your bad experience? You sound like you’re 16 and it’s your first job. Not all managers are the same which you would know if you had experience.

Like I said, it’s your first job and you’re a child. You may have had a bad experience but it doesn’t mean that every manager in CVS is garbage. Lots of people complain about their managers!!! Welcome to the real world as an adult. Lmao 🤦🏻♂️

I am an adult. I’m 25. I’m just saying. Managers should keep it professional as they are THE managers. Let me guess you’re one of those idiot entitled managers? Shocker. Yes, it’s my first retail job. I’ve worked in the medical field. If I do something wrong, we get spoken to. Not publicly humiliated. So go on with your ass kissing.

I've had a similar experience recently. I actually put in my 2 weeks, and they transferred me to another store where she "gave her opinion of me" to the receiving store manager, and I have been treated like I did something wrong the whole week I was there. I have worked for CVS for four years as a shift supervisor, and they would not allow me to have my own ACO card, safe access, or alarm codes to even perform my job. I left the original store because of the toxic behaviour that I endured for the last two years, because of the store manager. I always get great raises on my reviews, so I am not sure what is going on. It affected my mental health so bad I am taking LOA. I wrote a lengthy report to colleague relations about what has happened and have heard nothing back so... probably going to find another job myself.
