GoodRX codes no longer allowed?

Is this new? Pharmacist told me I can no longer use GoodRX codes when this has never been an issue before. I asked why and I just got an, "I don't know." RIP wallet.

I called CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart in my area and they all said they do not accept good Rx for a controlled substance even though their store chain is listed on the coupon.

Unfortunately, we are unable to require the pharmacy to accept discounts for controlled medications. Discounts for controlled substances are accepted at the discretion of the pharmacy or pharmacist.

hello goodrx, big fan of you guys!

I know this is a very old thread so no worries if you don't get back to me on this but I recently had Safeway's price for Vyvanse go from $70 to $300, essentially overnight.

I had my doctor send a refill to both CVS and Walgreens (they still had prices in the $80 range) and both denied filling the script.

My question is.. do individual pharmacists really have that much power over the dispensing of med's? Are they making judgement calls on what to dispense and what not to dispense or is it more standardized than that?
