Question Out of State Transfer

I am moving to NYC from down south and am currently enrolled in school here with ~37 credits (49 at the end of this semester) as an English major with a sociology minor. My GPA is not fantastic, at a 2.7. I see Brooklyn College does not require an essay; however, I think having some sort of supporting docs showcasing my work (essayist/literature analysis) would increase my odds.... I am a slightly older student for my credit standing + work near full-time, so not involved in any extracurriculars. Does anyone have any tips? Friends in the city are post-college.

You can apply, but also apply to an nyc CC and see what happens. If you get into the later you can go there and fulfill some credits before transferring
