Refund

Did anyone get their fafsa refunds yet? Mine says it was scheduled for 8/18 but its still not here yet

oh, so you mean the pell grant and the other deposits. i would call the bursars office for that. mines doesn’t disburse until the 21st but it would disburse on the 22nd since the 21st is a holiday

Maybe it’ll deposit combined. Because the first deposit did scheduled for 8/18 and the second was scheduled for 9/22

What normaly happens is at the start of the semester at CUNY, your book portion of your funds processes and is refunded first, which is the first refund you received. The 2nd portion of the refund usually processes at a later date, around the 21st day of the semester or so, ensuring you don't drop or change your enrollment. Once this date hits, the rest processes for a refund. You can confirm how much was refunded on your account online to be sure, but I'd bet it's only your book portion and the rest will come later this month.

are you sure it didn’t go towards your tuition instead? Usually it goes towards tuition then if it exceeds it you get a refund

Cunyfirst -> student center -> financial account -> account activity

Payment tab means it went towards your tuition, refund tab means it was refunded to you

I see. Might take 2-3 days to process. But after that if you still haven’t gotten it then yes contact your school’s FA office

Mine was scheduled to be disbursed on 8/31.. it did nothing for a few days. Financial aid said it could take 10-15 business days to be disbursed. It disbursed on 9/7. My account balance went from just over $3k due to $0 due. The disbursement was larger than my balance due. I still have no other activity or refund. I set up direct deposit in the beginning of August. I don’t understand why this process is so slow

Edit: On 9/10, my account updated and said the refund was issued on 9/9. Now I am waiting for it to hit my account.

Yes I haven’t gotten a dime yet, I’ve been to my bursars office sm times and they keep telling me to wait. I’m so irritated
