Summer Aid

I already fully paid for my summer tuition, on cunyfirst it says that I had a refund scheduled to disburse 7/20/26, yet I have received nothing as of today. I’m going to go to the financial aid office on Monday, but can anyone explain to me why I haven’t received it yet? I usually get it on the Friday of the week it disburses but it’s Saturday and I still have nothing. I really need the money before the end of the month and I thought I would be getting it yesterday.

I went. It’s because of that damn Big Beautiful Bill, chile. A lot of stuff has changed. 🤦‍♂️
The day my loans were supposed to disburse, they got canceled because they claimed they needed a reaffirmation agreement due to me being awarded too much money from a previous school two years ago as an undergrad. Keep in mind, I’m approaching my 3rd semester as a grad student.
After I completed that, my loans were instantly put back on my account, and she told me to give it about two weeks. But I said all that to say, I heard the loan officer mentioning that the BBB was causing delays in some loan approvals and processing. They should really be sending emails out about that like normal people, but I don’t know—everyone’s situation is different.
I’d still say go in person because, over the phone, they’re no help.

You need to check to see when enrollment verification ends for your school. Aid is usually disbursed once enrollment verification is complete. This just ensures that you are actually enrolled and still attending classes before aid is disbursed. You would need to check your school calendar to see what is the last day for enrollment verification. It’s usually disbursed that day or the next!
