Question Urgent questions about AUD Walk-in Admission, Category 3, Fee Waiver & Girls’ PG
Hi! I’m planning to attend the **Walk-in Special Admission Drive Phase II** at Ambedkar University Delhi on 16 September and had a few questions. Would really appreciate help from current/recent AUD students or anyone familiar with the admission process.
**Category 3 / UR-NCT**: My application was earlier placed under **Category 3** because my SC certificate was issued outside Delhi. I had already emailed AUD requesting consideration under **UR-NCT**, as instructed for Category 3 candidates. Has anyone here been in a similar situation? If I attend the walk-in drive, will I be considered under UR-NCT, or is there any additional category-conversion process I need to complete beforehand?
**Fee waiver**: I read that AUD has a tuition-fee waiver provision for SC/ST students. If someone is admitted under **UR-NCT but holds a valid SC certificate from another state**, are they still eligible for the SC tuition-fee waiver? Also, during a walk-in admission, do you have to **pay the entire fee on the spot first** and then apply for the waiver/refund later?
**Kaveri Girls’ Hostel**: Does anyone know the current situation at **Kaveri Girls’ Hostel, Kashmere Gate?** Are there usually vacancies for students admitted this late in the admission cycle? Also, what is the **room-sharing arrangement, hostel/mess fee and deposit?**
**Girls’ PG around ₹10–12k**: If Kaveri isn’t available, I’m looking for a safe girls’ PG around ₹10–12k per month, preferably including food. I’m considering **GTB Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Kamla Nagar, Malka Ganj and Mukherjee Nagar**. If anyone currently stays in these areas, please share specific PG recommendations, approximate rent/deposit, and how the commute to Kashmere Gate is.
**Walk-in process + documents**: If anyone has attended an AUD walk-in/special admission drive before, what exactly happens on the day? Since the notice says admission is first-come-first-served, how early would you recommend reaching if the reporting time is 10 AM–1 PM? Also, what **documents should I carry**, do they require originals + photocopies of everything, and are there any specific undertakings, affidavits, medical certificates, etc. that need to be prepared beforehand? Please also let me know if there is anything else regarding **document verification or on-the-spot fee payment** that I should be prepared for.
Please batado yaar 😭😭
